Re: Mucha's back online!

Marisa, SBC is owned by the company that owns Yahoo. Go figure.

Actually, SBC (assuming you are talking about the former Southwestern Bell Telephone Company) is not owned by anyone (other than the stockholders.) It was one of the original 'Baby Bells' and actually is about the best run one of the bunch. It did merge with PacBell, but it is the survivor.

I have SBC DSL at home also. Got an SBC email, not Yahoo. But as much time as their email servers and DNS servers spend down, you might be better off with Yahoo. The speed is blazing though (although we pay extra for fixed IP's and higher speed, and are on a remote loop, so we don't have the speed issues created by going back to the POP.)

(Can you tell dh is in the telecom/networking biz?)

AH-HA! no one ever explained that. One month, it was Pacific Bell; the next it was SBC/Yahoo. with no explanation i ever saw.

totally agree. the local servers here sometimes have problems, but i wouldn't trade it for anything!

We just signed up with them.
