The best scroll saw on the market is anyone made by Hegner. While I have never owned the Dremel I have owned ones like it and none hold a candle to the Hegner. You will own a Hegner forever.
Like getting a Fordam instead of a Dremel?

Well, I know which one I want.
Smallish. The throat is not very long and the presser foot is small. This is good for what I want because I need to manipulate very small stock. With the appropriate blades it will also pierce precious and/or non ferrous metals, which is an added bonus for me.

Nice machine. I have a dremel scroll saw too, tho not as fancy since I didnt have need for that. Its a good tool. Hooray for you! Have fun with it! Diana
I have always wanted a scroll saw.... and my wife ask me what I would do with it? I tell her that I could make a lot of cool things with it... or... it would look really nice sitting next to the sofa on the end table! lol
