Some opinions please?

These are some beads I made and was just wondering if anyone actually likes them? BF doesn't, but that kind of things really isn't his style. The tallest one is 1.5" long and the holes run right through the middle.

While they are not my personal style I can readily imagine others who would find many uses for them quite joyfully. I think you ought to find others who like them pretty easily.

Woah. Very interesting. Very unusual. I *love* the color. People who like lots of texture will probably love these. Great job!

Thanks, I thought they were interesting. They're made with Tyvek, which melts then goes solid over heat. They're painted first with fabric paint then wrapped round something and bound with metallic thread... then... MELTED! Woo hoo! I get to burn stuff! I can't wait till I can get stuff for lampworking one day!

Heheheheh.... Charlie, you're SO cute! It's kind of interesting in that they reminded me of lampwork beads when I first saw them. They are very much to my liking, and I think melting ANYTHING for the sake of art is cool. LOL!

I love that texture. A few smaller sizes and you'd have a really great set. It's such an interesting technique -- I think an organic color palette would look really cool, too.

Good luck! Jennifer

Gee, why do you think the lampworkers REALLY do what they do? Getting paid to play with fire all day sounds like fun!

Charlie, these beads, or some like it, would go perfectly with another vessel necklace I've been commissioned to make (my very first piece that someone's paying me for...) can you teach me how to make them?

Charlie: Tyvek is toxic when heated ... I used to use it when I stamped. I used to heat it with my heat gun, and it would shrink. Couldn't figure out where the headaches (unlike my migraines) stuffy nose and coughing were coming from.

Be careful with it...well ventilated area!!!
