It stopped the serious back spasms that I was having. They're lurking and threatening, but they're not torturing me outright at present. Thank god!

thank you, Kathy. it's more like a 400-lb LUMP i can't get to MOVE. and there's only so much i can do, to keep this half-way civilized. i'd shoot the dumb sob, but there are a few problems with that. he's too heavy for me to move the body. i'm dumb enough to get caught. there's no gun in the house as long as he is here.

Kathy -- it was the same way for her. Previous dogs of the same breed (chihuahua, don't yell at me I still can't spell it) lived until the age of 17 but Colby died at 9. The only blessing is that the new house is much smaller, and they have four dogs and two cats, now three dogs and two furballs. We are still working on finding loving homes for a few of the others so that it can be manageable again. Carol's heart was truly broken -- it is why I stayed another month. I really feel for you, and Sophie. My dog died at the age of 14, and I never replaced her.
