good grief! in the SHOWER?

OTOH, i have a bracelet i made with Fireline that i have deliberately been wearing full-time (shower, everywhere) just to test it. it's been over a year now, and so far, so good.

I have a couple necklaces I wear "all the time". Just change from them for special occassions. I wear those in the shower too.

i think i may have a peculiar mind set. if *i* made it, no problem. if someone *else* made it, i'd take better care. but then, i don't wear even necklaces all the time. just this one bracelet.

Sadly, yeah. I gave one of the first spiral bracelets I made to my mother. A couple of weeks later, we were on the phone and she mentioned that the bracelet broke. I asked her how many times she'd worn it. Her reply? "Oh, I haven't taken it off at all, I wear it to bed, I wear it in the shower..."

I have since instructed her on the proper care of handwoven pieces. :)
