Oooooh it's nice to see a Melissa and Bill fan out there! I love the way Melissa's work has evolved. We became friends at Best Bead a few years ago and I've loved watching her work ever since. Her hubby is great, too!

I agree about the thumbnails, and although all the work is very beautiful, this set has some alarming undercuts!

When the bumps are placed on the bead, they should not look like bowling balls on the bead - they should be melted in a little more. The rule of thumb is to melt them in halfway when leaving them raised. But we've all done it. :) Sometimes it ends up being okay, but a lot of the time dots will pop off if not melted in enough. Hard to describe without a visual. :)

Oh, good - I am glad I explained it well! :) I am such a visual person that sometimes it's hard to write the correct words for what I see in my head.

It is when the raised dots/stringer is not attached at (or near) the widest point, but goes "in" where it connects to the bead... something you could get your thumbnail under. Almost everyone makes beads with undercut dots at some point, but it can tend to eventually "pop" off or get accidentally knocked off.

Her work is very beautiful besides that, and shows a high level of skill/aptitude.
