the perils of commissions . . . continued

the lady in question saw the tourmaline and wanted some worked into her watchband. so i used green and pink/purple beads to go with the tourmaline and added some fluorite.

THEN, when i'd fusses with three different ideas, she reminded me that most of what she wore was BLUE - hence the change to a blue watchband.

somehow, either she forgot about the tourmaline, or she didn't realize it included green, rather than blue.

**chuckle** in this case, probably me. it was as much my fault as hers for not spending more time in discussion with her - but we were having such fun at the gem show at the time. i KNOW she loves blue. the tourmaline chips threw me. i should have asked first and didn't.

i posted it as much as a warning to others. "things to think about" sort of thing.

Ugghhhh, the perils of taking a customer to the gem show. So much to see. So many things are beautiful. Overload.

It sounds lovely, though Vicki! She sounds really difficult.

and the thing is, she's not - at all. i just posted it as a warning to remember to ask more questions before doing commissions. she's a very dear friend - we just had a total miscommunication this time.
