Is snipurl something I should know about? Is there a reason for using it? Am I in danger? Is peril everywhere? Eeeeeeek! Forever groping in the dark, Lori P.

better watch out or it's gonna get you!!!
SnipURL or TinyURL are ways to shorten a long link to post in emails and newsgroups where the readers wrap the line and make it difficult to use the link.
I like TinyURL.com because it lets me put a little button in my browser that makes it really easy to get the short url to copy and paste.

SnipURL, does too.
Here it is, Starlia.

I think that both programs work well and I actually like tinyurl better because you can see where you're being directed to and can cancel that direction at least I think that's the one? I use snipurl because it was the first one I tried.
Here's tinyurl if you want to check that one out too.

Oh -- and yes, it's something you should know about (it's great for everyone). But I see you have 6 responses, so they've told you already.

I love Snurl. I can do the little button thing easily my way (on AOHell). But different strokes. Except I can't stand Makeashorterlink.....it makes me go to one page, then takes me to the one I want. Being on dial-up makes that almost painful. (A word to the wise) ~~ Sooz
