I hit an engineering stop on this one, but finally figured out how to connect the tube to the cabochon. Frighteningly simple, but it had me stumped for months. %-)
The cab is by Jan Small, who hasn't had an auction up for months. Bummer. :-(

So pretty, well done.
It's fused glass. :o) But I do think it does have that Paua look -- hence the name. :-)

I'm working on more pinecones, even as we speak, slightly larger ones. The pendant will be a cluster of cones with a tuft of needles. I'm going to do a pair of earrings to go with it, too. :-)

Peyote. The pinecones are beaded beads, but it's the color of the seed beads that give it the look of scales. The brown beads are amber colorlined with tan.
