Very busy couple of months coming up

People seem to think that needlework seminars consist of a bunch of little old ladies sitting around knitting. (Knitting is done but it's not done with a needle with an eye so it doesn't count as needlework. And why is it ALWAYS "knitting"??)

I just let those short-sighted people keep their preconceived notions - and laugh at them behind their backs.

Hey, I knit (or try to!) and I'm 23! :-D Does anybody watch Knitty Gritty (I think that's what it's called) on the DIY channel? Very young and funky chick hosts it, and they show how to do "other" stuff like guitar straps, not just sweaters.

I can match you on this one. I once got the Star Trek parody stuck in my head. You know the one which goes "Klingons on the starboard bow, scrape them off, Spock."

My parents have that song on a Readers Digest compilation CD! It's a cute song, I like it.

Eventually, someone on the group just HAS to lower the tone. It's one of the many excellent reasons I hang around. :)

Hee hee - I danced on a table once - it was on the outdoor deck and was concrete. But alas, it was forwned upon by the management.

Eeeeeeee - I have an old Christmas album that has that song on it. Probably form the 70's. It also has my favorite holiday song- Tiny Snowflakes - on it.

They do an alternative line near the end of the song of the last quote you've got there "It's worse than that, it's physics Jim..."
