Wanting to say thank you

I wanted to take a minute and say thank you. I have joined many groups (aol & newsgroups) and been very disappointed with the discussions (fighting) going on. Thank you for making me feel comfortable enough to join in the discussions and not being picky & nasty to each other and me.

I have been enjoying this newsgroup more than my email and other groups I belong to on yahoo. After clicking on the links (that lead to more links LOL) and seeing what you all have been doing, it has helped my feelings of inadequacies. I am realizing that I don't have to do it "this way" cause it's the "proper way". You are all so talented!

I have learned so much about beads. I want to start working with the beads that you all are making and the shells that Harry does. I want to do it all and alas, cannot afford it unless I win the lottery. lol

But the bottom line is that I want to say thank you to each and every one of you. Also to thank you for helping to get thru a particular bad depression last week.

Hugs to all

That's what we are here for to help each other whenever we can. Be it beadwork or just a shoulder to cry on. A trouble shared is a trouble halved. Love and hugs to you Shirley

Try not to be too disappointed when this does happen, Debbie. It is a group of humans. We act just like that sometimes. Stay anyway!

< I second what she said. You and I are very much in the same boat... Maybe we can take turns at the oars and get this boat to shore. :) I am struggling with what I really want to do and how to do it. My big hearted supplier in NZ just returned from his holiday and it would seem he wants me to pay for it. lol I ask for an order on shells and lets just say that the price he quoted me... I could buy dern near all the beads I saw and loved and have money left over to buy the items to turn the beads into beautiful necklaces and braclets. I want to go towards the light and get into lampwork! I love these things and I also want to do PMC! Does anyone have a down to Earth idea as to what a poor man with no talent would have to pay to just try? I guess I went down that rambling road once again. I have to focus!

You can try polymer clay. It costs about $2.00 for a block of clay and you need your hands, a rolling tool (depending on what you want to do) a needle to poke holes and IMAGINATION! The more you get into it the more you spend, but you can make very nice beads and pendants with little money. Just a thought... ;-)

Hi Debbie,

You're right, we (including you) are all so talented. To various degrees and in various areas. We run the gamut. And best of all, we love to learn.

This is my most important group, too. We're like family, we gripe, we have issues, but we also praise, and best of all we support each other.

Very glad we could help get you through a bad spot. Many here have shared that experience.

Take care,

Tina
