When someone steals

They took my watch.

AAWwww..... Big hug..... Try looking at it this way.... You got to make the same watch three times..... and now you get to start all over again. Try something different this time! The dollar value loss and the emotional impact are tough to bear, I know, but if you look at it as a learning experience, both bead-wise as well as life-lessons, the watch was cheap. Plus, you get to do it all over again, only differently!

DO OVER!!!!!!

(((((Debbie))))) This whole thing really sucks. Like others have said, it is a backhanded compliment that someone thought it was worth stealing. Something deep inside me says one day, you'll run into that person wearing the watch...there's no mistaking it, that watch is a one of a kind and you'll know. Unfortunately it makes you cautious of everyone you'll come in contact with in the future. Hold close those things that are dear to you...all the others, we have to let go of sometime (speaking from experience).

Well, as they say, it's an ill wind that blows no good. If you have discovered thru this incident that your work DOES have genuine value, then you've gained something worth more than the money and work lost with the watch.

Woof! The person who grabbed your watch probably thought it was a designer original and worth big bucks!

At any rate, don't let them win by making you afraid to wear your own work.

That's exactly what I'm afraid of. I'm in the middle of a necklace right now and I started to think maybe I shouldn't wear it. Then realized I was letting them win.

I will wear my necklace, I will wear my necklace, I will wear my necklace. lol

ROFL LMAO

That is SO stupid, no wonder I didn't actually "get" what you wrote!!!

Glad to hear things turned out OK, inconvenience and stress notwithstanding.

Yeah, well, we'll never know whether that thief has a conscience or not, will we? They will still have to live with it forever, since taking that watch built up some bad kharma, and they will have to deal with the consequences of that sooner or later, in this lifetime or the next, whether they are aware of it or not. That was my point.

Yup, I checked with security several times. Called out there yesterday and they can't tell me cause then I might try to claim it and it might not be mine. LOL

Hubby said he will take me out there today to check with them. I don't really hold out any hope, but I have to check.

YES! The very first thing I do when getting into the car is lock the doors. My gf always forgets and I'm forever nagging her about it. Also, always leave a car length between you and the car in front of you at stoplights, so that if someone approaches/threatens you, you have enough room to maneuver and get the heck out of there.
