my server has it. your ISP may have quit carrying it. and since you are using earthlink, it's a possibility.

Google has apparently been having severe problems lately. Can you install a dedicated newsreader (such as Free Agent) on your computer? That should solve your problem.

I can't find it on news.cis.dfn.de either, I'm sure it used to be there. Same for rec.crafts.jewel(le)ry

Tina
I'm getting it just fine through AOL newsgroups.
I also tried direct on the web through GOOGLE click groups TAB above the search block click rec click crafts and - yep--- there is glass. don't know why you can't see it. Cheryl of DRAGON BEADS Flameworked beads and glass
You should probably contact your ISP, and request that they carry that newsgroup again.
I know I can see them both via Adelphia Powerlink, however that doesn't mean everyone using powerlink will necessarily see them, it depends on which NNTP news server they are connecting to, just like with any other ISP.
NNTP hosting takes a LOT of server hard drive space. Some ISP's will drop groups that they see aren't getting a lot of use to conserve space. Smaller ISP's won't have as many newsgroups like some of the larger ones for that reason. It costs money to get all that hard drive space for people to use the newsgroups.

no kidding. it's one reason we don't carry binary groups. they're HUGE.
