And the really cool thing is that untiil I found that suit I was looking at a dress that was marked down to $478. the shop owner said she could go to $350 plus it needed some alterations (about $60). The suit was on sale for $99.99.

Now I need to make a crystal necklace/choker. Time to hit my books or see what patterns I can find on the web. Anyone have a free design they know of?

You can probably get a real sixpence if you want one. Call a bank or a coin dealer - they must be pretty easy to come by 'cause my mom gave me one for my wedding 11 years ago.

I have a couple here that we were given for our wedding. My mom had brought them back from England in 1990. Don't know where she got them....but...anyway, it's a great thing to have. I'm thinking of doing something with them eventually...not sure what though.

Thank you. It's not easy to find a nice outfit for a wedding. I didn't have a big wedding the first time and don't want it now. I DID want a nice dress that I could wear again and would be dressy enough that I still felt like a bride. That sounds silly but I can't help it - I've got a traditional streak a mile wide (it's usually well-disguised with the trappings of a modern woman). It's not easy trying to placate my own duality!

Exactly! I don't have a full-time job so I couldn't afford a real fancy dress but I got the suit on sale. It's a bit dressy but not so elaborate that I couldn't wear it to a social function. Or even a cruise, if Keith ever decided to do that.

I need to make a nice crystal necklace now and I *think* I know what I'm going to do. Stay tuned - pictures soon.

That is so very pretty and simple. Reminds me of the suit i bought to elope in. Then i had the full regalia 3 years later...but that's another story for another time. You enjoy YOUR day!!
