I'm just trying to total up how much a piece of jewelry made with those beads would have to cost.

of course, if I had the money to win those beads, and I did get them, I wouldn't make something to sell. I'd keep those babies all for myself.

I looked at some of the past auctions, and the "winning" bidder has bought many of Kim's beads ... for lotsa $$$. She (or he) must be selling the jewelry made from the beads. I'd love to see it ... and know how much it sells for. It would certainly be out of *my* range!

I'm just jealous that Kim and half of everyone else I know has this darned glass, and I haven't tried any yet!

OTOH, I scored a whole bunch of Val's new Gaffer pull, so that'll keep me busy.

LOL - that's okay, Karen, I don't have any either. Not for lack of trying though!! It sure is pretty.

Hi all,

Those beads are TDF and all the positive adjectives!! If I could spend that much money, though, I'd buy say 10 sets for $300, and that's still not in my grasp. I'm trying to imagine the jewelry AND the market segment!! Amazing. Please share if you find any examples of the jewelry made by the top bidders. Sigh....

THAT's Kronos and Olympian Rain from Double Helix Glass, isn't it? It has to be! I've been trying to get some too, I couldn't believe the feeding frenzy on their web site. I refuse to pay the scalper's fees for leftover rods on ebay. OTOH, it is sooooo pretty!

I think I really have to go to class.. There's one Finnish lady who teaches, her fee for a weekend course is 200 euros (250 USD) and she teaches the basics I presume.

That is what I suspected. Sure is purty. I really like, but don't like the price, it is a bit expensive, but I understand why with all the silver in it.
