When I try to change the needle in my Brother 8500, it is so tight in the shaft that I have to use a pair of pliers to remove it. It doesn't take a little bit of a tug but a pretty strong tug just to get it loose. I have no difficulty putting the needle in and I only tighten it with my fingers plus just a little bit more pressure with a screwdriver. I'm wondering if some gummy stabilizer has worked it's way up the needle and into the shaft? Any ideas?
