how long do you keep it before you get rid of it, and how do you store it after you open the pack? I keep mine in a ziploc bag...

I keep mine in Ziploc bags also. I've never thrown any away yet.
Even sealed tight foil loses it after a few months..... that's why us smart retailers never order more than we can sell in a month or so.
