Last few weeks my pc has crashed randomly, the screen goes black, everything becomes unresponsive, the dvd writer drive flashes wildly and i have to turn it off at the mains to get it to start working again. It seems to happen alot when playing games, or using the cd drive, if anyone has any advise, please help.
Due to the fact that I think silicon chips are related to glass try this, in order, until it is fixed. Use caution, be a doctor and "cause no harm":
1 Open the case, check fans are operational and not letting things overheat. Usually this creates "toast" when it happens, but worth checking. 2 Spybot -search and destroy, and Virus checking, Try AVG to see if you have one, it does this for somebody's idea of fun.Save what you need to and reformat and reinstall.... cures everything, immediately, but you will have to reinstall everything too.
