Where should I post a picture for all you people to see?

I have a design that I created that is approx. 28 x 47" shutters/valance that I would like to have time input on.

Thanks, Steve

top is approx. 12" tall. My biggest question is- Do I have to worry about my hinge points?I was planning on using just standard pivot points for hinges. There will be a little bit of zinc caming on both panels for some extra reinforcement.

Any input would be great.

Thanks, Steve

Is this one single panel or what? If so, then the top section is definately a huge hinge problem unless you're going to have zinc go all the way around it...if it's one single panel. Why not build it so that you can put it in a wood frame and then you'd be able to use hinges.

1/2"-3/4" zinc all around, and solder the hinges to the flat zinc, or use a wood frame for the best support.

The top 'Music Staff' panel will be stationary, with the 2 bottom panels acting as shutters.

I was hoping to try and get by without any wood.

I've got some zinc caming that I would try to place diagonally across each panel.

Thanks, Steve

Oh ok. I guess my only concerns would be when you open them, will they have a tendancy to want to flex? There is small pretinned steel rebar you could use or do the zinc thing.
