I've swapped with Joyce before too, and it was great! I loved doing it and would do it again in a heartbeat!
Just let us know what's on your list of wants!

Regardless of what Kitty likes, tigers still do not come from Africa, sorry.
As to what I want... I'd like some cosmetics, and electronic equipment, and those peanut butter chocolates from Reese. :-)
While I'm itching to get stitching again, and would love to acquire more stash, it's not something I want to do while I can't afford face cream. I don't have a specific list of what I'd like (yet). It was something that flitted through my head when I was shopping for skincare products the other day. And perfume! I've always been a perfume nut, and last year my house was broken into and all my perfumes stolen, along with the tv, hifi, etc. They left the cheap crappy perfumes - these were selective burglars - which leaves me with a few bottles to put on my dressing table, but nothing to put on my skin. Insurance replaced the electronic equipment, but couldn't replace my little collection of Dior perfumes (miniatures) or the larger bottles which were half full of other favourites.
So if anyone has a sudden desire for something from South Africa (other than a tiger) then I'm sure we can make some sort of swap.
Oh... about the stitching... ... if anyone has any 1 ply shetland wool they're not using, you can send it my way. I found a pattern, now I need the wool!

I have a better idea!
Why don't you all plan a holiday to South Africa, use me as your tour operator and/or guide, and then I'll be able to afford these things!
LOL
Struggling to get my web site to make money! Which reminds me - I put up a new page of pictures from the last tour I did:

==Not nuts, just a little eccentric==
Check with Schoolhouse Press (I posted the URL a week or so ago); they have such oddities.
Hmmmmm. McH, what say we do the next get-together as AfricaFest? :)
When I first typed that it was pretty much tongue in cheek. But then I thought about it, and I said to myself: "Myself, why don't you design a tour that focuses on crafts and needlework?"
So that's what I'll do, with input from you gyus as to what you think would be the most important thing to see in South Africa.

Ah! we will find you a trade partner elsewhere then! ;)
Love Aunt Cheryl
PS - do you like catnip?
My son who is finishing up his PhD in Scotland is talking about going to South Africa for a vacation when he finishes up, this summer or fall. How about email me your email addy. You just never know. Ruby
Probably would prefer to nip cats!
