Last summer, I attended the CATs vendor showcase. Because the name appealed to me and despite my struggles to count stitches, I couldn't resist Chocolate Mousse by Kappie Originals Redeux. Ordinarily when doing a free style or crewel project, I don't backstitch if it merely outlines a design. This one needs it to set off different body parts that have been stitched using the same color. If I have to some backstitching, I may as well do it all .
I'm working the piece on 14 count aida and don't have a clue about what size a backstitch should be. Should it be one stitch over one thread or can the stitches be longer? [please say longer ]
