Batten down the hatches.

That could be. It was at a hotel somewhere off the Alcan Highway. The hotel was supposed to be a luxury one but it was not my version of luxury at all. When we asked for a wake up call in the morning they agreed that would be no problem. Since we had no phone in the room I wondered what they were going to do.

I'm sure you've already guessed that at 7 a.m. a loud knock came on the door, accompanied by a voice yelling--It's time to get up.

It was a fun trip.

Sounds like roughing it too me!

Except for family things (like visiting his cousins in IL this spring) no vacations until DS and DD are out of school. C

Neither can I. It would be hard to cuddle with something big enough to trample you!

There's also the fact that the ones I was near enough to smell, smelled awful.

I was listening the radio a couple of years ago and they interviewed a man who had been severely mauled by a bear in Banff National Park. This bear had 'hugged' him and ripped most of his scalp off, he was lucky to be alive and when the interviewer asked him what was going through his mind when the bear grabbed him he said "With my face pressed against the bears chest, all I could think was what an ungodly stink!" You just made me think of that interview lol
