California Wildfires

Although they were showing from the camera atop the Wells Fargo Building a thick cloud of smoke in downtown, down at house level I wasn't noticing it. The sky looked overcast, but I wasn't smelling smoke or coughing from it.

Oh good. Let's hope it doesn't get any worse. Just the same,stay indoors with the fans and filters running. I offered ds in Sacto to send me the babies (and their CA grandmother) but, dil hates me so much that even to save the kidlets lungs, she is not about to do it. Oh well.

Is the slight air pollution going to affect your various ailments? You really don't need any more "challenges".

I've been (mostly) following the weatherman's advice to stay in the house. A couple of mandatory errands (like the 25% off everything sale at Michaels) did prompt me to go out, but 99% of the time spent in the house.

The daughter of one of our EGA members lives in Paradise and those fires missed her by less than a mile. There used to be a Ruth who posted from Happy Camp. She may have fires too close for comfort in her area too.

P.S. Has anyone seen the advertisement from the "Flood Smart" people showing the woman sitting on her couch stitching while her living room is slowly being flooded? I sent an email and a very nice lady (also a needleworker) is going to try to find more information for me on exactly what the woman in the commercial is stitching. She said that my question was a first and that most people want to know what music is playing in the background. :-))))))
