Well at least your class schedule will keep you from blowing your budget in the shopping mart! Have you made your hotel reservation yet?

I registered for:

Thurs - 149 Canvas to Linen Linda Reinmiller 140 Ukranian Nyzynka Placemat Phyllis Maurer

Fri - 116 Beaded Slide Technique Liz Diehl 156 Embellishing with Beads Marilyn Vredevelt

Sat - 151 Hardanger Filling Stitches Linda Reinmiller

I think I got all my classes too (actually, I've never *not* gotten them all when I register this early). Once I get there, I may add something else on Saturday afternoon, depending on what the MITIs are.

Hi guys, I decided to go ahead and sign up for this. It will be a fun road trip for me! I just got my confirmation today. It looks like I'll be in the pulled thread basics class bright and early Friday morning with you Marianne. I'm also plan to take 118 woven Ribbons Thursday afternoon, and Be Kind and Encyclopedia of Finishing Techniques on Friday. So Friday will be very busy for me but then I'll be done. I was thinking of adding the show shine and share thing for Thursday night. I guess I'll need to reserve a room at least for Friday night. Probably Saturday night as well. -Evelyn

Good luck if you're looking for a room at the Lodge. Online reservations suggest they're not available. You might try calling directly if you want to stay at the Lodge.

Best wishes, Ericka

I made my reservation by phone last week, so there were still rooms available then. IIRC, you have to phone rather than go through the website to get the special rate.

It doesn't look like I will be sharing classes with any of you so far. I am taking two Pat Hartman classes; fabric and threads and Midnight Orchid; Phyllis Maurer's Yugoslavian Weaving and LTD's Stumpwork Nautilus. This will be the first year I do not have any 8 am classes, the earlies I have is

9 on Thursday. I have had my hotel reservations since about March I think. I like to be in a certain section of the Lodge so I always try and sign up early. I get a drive up room so I don't have to haul stuff up and down stairs or elevators. It is not too far from the Merchandise mart so I can run back to the room and drop stuff off in between rounds of shopping. I usually request the same room but as long as I am in the same section I am happy. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. Beverly B

Hi again everyone, Sounds smart.

I just made my reservation at the Lodge for Thursday and Friday nights by phone and had no problem getting a single at the at the convention rate. They even offered me a choice of room with a king sized bed or one with two queens.

First though, I tried a low ball priceline offer for the Hershey area for $39 but it wasn't taken. I did find some things on line for more like $65 at cheaper motels but after I didn't get the lower priceline price I said what the heck and went for the lodge. Of course I have no idea where I will be within that but it will be really nice to be right there. Especially for that early class! It should be fun. -Evelyn

I got all my classes (only 3 this year) and have received my confirmation by snail mail. Of course I can't remember what my classes are and my letter it at home.

I have had my reservation at The Lodge since about a week after CATS ended last year. I get the same room every year. Close to shopping, classes, both hallway and parking lot doors, and great lighting. I am turning my weekend into a mini-vacation. Even though I only live a couple hours away, I am going up on Wednesday and leaving on Sunday. Wednesday I will probably treat myself to a day at the spa (massage, facial, pedicure, whirlpool bath). I did the same thing last year to de-stress before the whirlwind of CATS.

Next week I am off to Milwaukee for nine days. The first half is to attend the National Bead and Button Show. I have four classes (1 per day with a day off in the middle). Then I head just a little north (Westbend and Port Washington to visit relatives).

My buddies and I treated ourselves to Cocoa massages last year.

I recently booked cocoa massages for myself, my daughter, and her significant other. They're coming to visit me on the weekend.

My stitching buddies want to do a spa day again this year, so I will probably get two visits to the Spa!!!!!!!

The traffic will have to be better than it was last year when we had the hotel shuttle take us up to the spa. Our appointments were just before the speech by President Bush was wrapping up his speech at the stadium! Our driver scooted around streets and knew where the roadblocks were and got us from the lodge to the hotel in 10 minutes! Boy, did we need to relax after that!!!

See you all in Hershey!!!

I'm all set with reservations in the lodge and class confirmations. Will be going Wed to Sat this year, usually go Thur to Sun. Both classes are beading - the names of which elude me now and I'm too lazy to go to find the confirmation. Beaded slide is one and the other ???? May also sign up for another, bead embellishment, when I arrive.

Oh, good! I'm in the beaded slide class too! Your other isn't something like beaded embellishments taught by Marilyn Vredevelt, is it? I'm in that one also.
