Chocolate is NEVER O/T

When baking bread, the amount of humidity in the air makes a big difference in how the crust of the bread comes out. With the right amount of humidity you get a really good crunchy crust. We used to spray water into the oven when baking to get it just right. Also makes the strudel dough go nice and crunchy. My great aunt used to make the best strudel. With her it was an all day affair, because if you are going to make up a batch, you may as well make enough for a whole army. The smell in the kitchen would be absolutely heavenly.

I wonder what would happen if you put the chocolate in a food processor and turned it on and poured the eggs into it? Anyway, professional chefs have help. One restaurant I worked at had the dishwasher pour the butter into the bowl while the chef stirred to make hollondaise. Perhaps that's the way to do this mousse: with help.

I think it should probably work, the problem is keeping the mixture hot enough for long enough to kill potential salmonella, that's why they do it while the bowl is on top of the boiling water... For "home use" I think it should work though, as long as you don't keep left over mousse you made on Tuesday "for the weekend" ;-)

I'm just thinking though: Maybe you could use an electric wisk thingy, I can't remember the english term and it's not in my dictionary.. Electric blender? Handheld electric... thingy! You know, what you use to make whipped cream if you don't have a food processor, gosh I hate it when I can't remember a word... Anyway, if you use a small pot and a high heatproof bowl you might not end up with hot chocolatey egg goop all over your kitchen ;-)

*bg* like this? Take: one toddler 1 packet of bisquits 1 packet of philadelphia cream cheese .....

Now I have to go and look for that recipe, I know I saw it just a few days ago...

Any shipments of chocolate will be *more* than gladly accepted (provided there's no mint included!)!!!! But, yes, to get chocolate here in its original condition it would be better to ship it between Oct. & Mar. & possibly April. Even though I live in ND we still get temps in the 90s fairly frequently and 100s occasionally!

Send away! :)))))

Oh no, my favourite - must nip down to Thornton`s and stock up for the weekend - I just ate my last piece!

Why don`t we all start talking about it and persuade someone on here to organise a chocolate swap/round robin?

Perhaps you're thinking of an electric egg beater, a/k/a electric mixer?

RESEARCH PROMISING FOR CHOCOLATE LOVERS

It's not exactly a guilt-free pleasure, but food researchers say cocoa beans could be good for you. The health potential is real. Cocoa beans have natural compounds called flavanols, and a growing pile of scientific research suggests they do good things to blood vessels. ..

I really hope you're talking about the bisquits, the cream cheese or the electrix mixer thingy and not the toddler ;-)

I`m inclined to agree - I`m not a "baby" person, although I loved my own. I`m not one of those who drools every baby or toddler you see. I like them when they get old enough to hold a reasonable conversation.

Nah, abuse would be leaving a perfectly good toddler to rot on the kitchen counter.
