Dolphy is DONE

I know. Although, I remember being on my own, and being really sick, having to call friends to go and get my med from the not delivering pharmacy. I wouldn't give up DH, though - and will deal with these little things. It's just frustrating -the childlike refusing to give in and take the medicine alternating with the need to be taken care of. But, honestly, this DH is about the kindest person I've ever known, amongst other qualities, so, I'll deal.

I bet it was a slightly scary ride. It's really blowing here. Our power company has had no outages today, though in the area there are about 20000 out. We have all buried lines, so that really helps - except for when the main substation a couple of miles up the road goes! I hope you get past without losing power.

I probably will, as I'm the one with the chronic immune system issues, etc. And I'm due (overdue) for my iron/hemoglobin infusion. But, so far, so good.Sorry about the bronchitis. I think any of these conditions that affect your breathing will just run you down and take a long time to really recuperate from -which most of us seem to forget. So far I've not had the bronchitis bug this year, and am counting my blessings as last year's pneumonia totally screwed up my life. Give yourself the chance to really recuperate!

You sound really busy, and entitled to a little whine. Can't you amend your taxes and do a resubmission? And, can you get help for the benefit - though I'm sure you have some. Just try to share the joy if that will help. And, well, you can always continue to whine!

I now have to go be useful.

I knew that. DH has been all around, after last weekend up in Frederick, and then in Rockville. I think one set of games he skated, a team was short because a good third of them were out with the flu.

My friend working in the ER said they were full of strep cases last weekend.

It's nice seeing the pretty, real snow. I think we have a good 8-10" here. I'm watching the Indian IT guy across and down 2 shovelling his driveway - yuck.

Thanks. As I go around and redo thermostats, and make tea!

*snip*

According to the weather forecast, the NY Metro area is expecting 1-3", but very cold temps. They may be having a big snow upstate, like Buffalo.

Share your hate for the freezing rain. Too dangerous.

Well, so much for the March in like a Lion.

Thanks for the well wishes. Hmmm, Well, I can try to pack one in a plastic

- but don't want it to melt on your handpainted fabric and overdyed thread! I finally, finally, found where I'd hidden the fabric, so your turtles should be swimming to FLA soon. Like when I can get to the post office tomorrow.

If she is coming into Halifax, likely out of luck, the board shows mostly red, departures and arrivals.

Gee, are the Plains the only nice place for weather right now? We've got beautiful sunshine and it's almost 20, with just a light wind.

March came in like a lion with below 0 cold and wind, but the weather is supposed to get warmer as we go through the week, although they're predicting rain/snow for Wed. & Thurs. Like Sharon, I'd much rather have snow than rain when the roads are still cold enough for it to freeze to, but it *is* March, the wild-weather month, and it will definitely be warmer by the time the 31st gets here!

OTOH, I'll be leaving for a week in the middle of the month for the (hopefully) warmer climes of Lost Wages. :)

C'mon warm weather!!!!!

Well, I delivered dolphy to be made into a pillow, he will be done within the month. I've decided my next (quick) project will be an eye- glasses case with an owl on it, as a gift for a friend who likes owls.

Later today I will get some stitching mags from a friend (as a birthday gift), then we will eat dimsum with a friend. MMMMMM.

Amber, that is just gorgeous. Your uncle should be absolutely delighted=20 with it...and all the love and care that went into making it. You are a=20 very talented lady, and he is a very fortunate man.

Gillian

Well done, you must be somewhat relieved that it is complete.

Lovely job Amber! It's a great gift!
