I just stumbled over this page while looking at other things...some cool designs!

the pieces by Octavio Ocampo are really interesting. Upon first glance, the piece didn't particularly appeal to me, but when I looked closer and saw both his offerings, they grew on me!

Darn you guys. I was sooooo good at the big S.E.X. Sale at today's EGA luncheon. Only buying some silk (one of a kind, a few yards at a discount), and some at cost WDW & Gloriana, and 1 chart from Carriage House (Kathy was there selling off stuff), and a fabulous book on the history of American Needlework from the 17th century - for only $10. Resisted the beautiful jewelry she's doing now - and oh so many things from the various designers that were there. Ah - the chart I bought - to go with her horsey/farmy series, you have to scroll down to "Hopeful":

FYI, she is seriously selling off her charts, etc - so if you'reinterested the time to get anything from her is now. All the models werethere, and several people bought them, and had Kathy autograph the backs(along with noting who had done the stitching). So, now you have to show me some cutesy hockey goalie chart that I'm going to have to get 'cause it will clearly be a very quick stitch. And DH just got his new (well, they used to belong to former CAPS goalie Jose Theodore) goalie leg pads (at let's say less than 25% of their retail price), as he's gone back to playing along with reffing. Darn you enablers!

Always happy to enable others...and live vicariously!

I love the Carriage House Samplings stuff. I'll miss her designing.

(Who am I trying to kid? In reality, I won't! I have a bunch of hers in my stash, and I probably won't run out ever! What I mean is, I'll miss seeing her new designs, coveting, and adding to stash!!!)

I agree. Coveting and admiring the new stuff is what I'll miss, too.

It's funny, but she doesn't want to hear how much her designs will be missed. She's so happy to be getting out the designing business. I talked to her and she's nearly delirious.

I bought two of her charts as well to add to other dozen of so that I already have. Plus 15 skeins of Glorianna at cost. I felt like I was stealing it. LOL
