Joan *needs* them! She has no mice in her life!

No, I was thinking we should stitch them FOR her. Because you know she will make excuses not to have time. :)

Well, I haven't got time to stitch at the moment either. I told Joan I was more than willing to send her a matched pair of fawn girls, but she was reluctant to agree to that. When little Diego passed away recently, it crossed my mind to have him stuffed and send him to Our Joan as a token of goodwill and affection, but... y'know... something stopped me. I'll have to come up with something else.

Wouldn't know...I don't hang around long enough to eavesdrop! LOL

Well, now you're going to make me admit that there really aren't

*that* many people who enter needlework! lol I did manage to get a gander at some of the other pieces entered this year (they only display those who won) and there were some hardanger pieces and a geometric cs piece on black that were very nice. That made me feel that the purple ribbon for my Fairy Grandmother was at least deserved!

If either of you goofs had *ever* looked at my webshots album (or marked me as a "friend" ), you would see I *do* have a mousey picture in there that DD made for me! And, FYI, I have nothing against *pictures* of cute widdle mice, it's the "real thing" I abhor! Especially in my house! :):):)

Here's the link to the pic:

Come to think of it, they are! So you can share in my accolades! :)

No, nothing *that* significant! Our county fair is nothing big and probably the only respect one gets is the unheard comments from people viewing the pieces. I suppose I *could* stand around the needlework section and listen to what people say! :) We get ribbons and a small amount of money for them: 1st, blue ribbon & $3; 2nd, red ribbon & $2;

3rd, white ribbon & $1. Big winnings, huh? :) There's also a large pink ribbon for reserve champion and purple for champion, no extra monetary award.
