Many years ago i wanted to make female Medals. For the bravery of cleaning endless , floors , washing dishes shoppping etc and all those things we do daily, during our lives !!!!
I started to read about Medals , and esp about who got them ?, why? and most important how they were designed . Lucky for me one of my friends is an expert on ancient coins etc,, thus i read, read and read ,,,, But wasn`t satisfied Than i mooved my reading/ attention to Heraldery, and there i found many answers to my quest.
During this period i helped curating , an exhibition "Maginim [shields] for Magen" which we dedicated to Magen Friedman , the son of our friend Toni , who fell in Lebanon .
I think /feel Alicia , that reading about those subjects and how they were designed has helped me in my quest for designing My own kind of symbols, and made me vert aware about how one small item can , change or dictate a wbole WORK ,, mirjam
