Why do you people insist on showing me new needlework websites with designs I can't live without? There were so many things I just loved. Did anyone else see the Italian Renaissance Sewing Box

Grin - well, maybe four.... and just when I think I have enough will power not to buy something new until I finish the UFOs and WIPs lurking beside my stitching chair, I go out and buy something else new.

I've also discovered that the upscale book dealer near work has a couple of very good (and very, very expensive - $700-$1000 range) books on needlework and samplers. One was put out by the DAR in the early 1900s, and the other is an English book published slightly earlier showing English band samplers. Not that I'm ever likely to buy one of these - I'd feel too guilty.
