I'm wondering if you mean the slipper pattern from an old Patons leaflet. I think I have it downstairs in my sewing room. They are garter stitch, you decrease for the toe, sew up the back of the heel and put a pom-pom on the top of the toe. I made them many years ago. They are very warm and comfy, but slippery on hardwood floors. I will look for the pattern if you would like.

LOL....I have a feeling that Cheryl's friends referred to them as "Canadian Slippers", but I think they might have meant "Canadiana Slippers". As I recall, my Mom originally made them with Patons Canadiana yarn and the pattern was originally in a Patons leaflet. Glad I could help Cheryl. They knit up very quickly.l

I have a lovely deep green sweater, which I knitted using Canadiana. I rarely wear sweaters, but that is one of the two which I have saved!! I bought the yarn in a lovely shop; it was in Oak Ridge, TN! prolly 12 years back, I guess!

These are okay to just take along when visiting people but the Phentex ones lasted a while even with every day use and they really are comfortable - my Mother made these for everyone in the family as an extra (and much expected) gift at Christmas.
