Hello from a new subscriber

Welcome to the group, Annette.

Like many groups we have very active times, and then very quiet times. I can promise you, though, that if you have any questions regarding stitching, and have patience, you will receive a lot of input.

We also waste a lot of stitching time with OT posts; but that is life, right??

Just wanted to say that I'm new here also...I'm Gina and I'm in Naples, Italy.

I'm primarily a cross stitcher, however I'm also in the SCA (society for creative anachronism) so I'm often sewing medieval garb also. At the moment I'm on a Long Dog Samplers kick...I'm a little over halfway on Rosemarkie.

Thanks for the info. It really looks beautiful there. One of my profs in grad school was a New Zealander - great guy. Now he's back in Auckland, IIRC. A couple of my colleaugues ended up either there or in OZ. Have a cousin in OZ, and we keep trying to figure out some opportunity to visit NZ and OZ .... Maybe in the next couple of years.

Well, it's more crowded than it used to be. But, the area where myself, Caryn and Donna live is full of American Civil war battlefields, and from here down through to Williamsburg is colonial history. Some of the towns here, such as Alexandria, or Falls Church, definitely date back to the colonial days (not old by Euro standards, but it's historical here).

We've moved westward a bit, and Loudoun Cty is part of the horsey area. Going to be a big World Cup of Polo in Leesburg next month. But, again, this is getting more crowded as the suburbs spread.
