Good afternoon.. I have a question.. I have several bookmark patterns that call for a size 3 needles.. But I don't have any at the moment and I want to know is it okay to use a size 2 or a size 4? Any ideas? Portia/California

Hi Portia, First, let me add my hearty "welcome" to the group! We're always up for new people, which means new ideas and one more person to enable and be enabled! :)
As for your knitting, the only difference will be in the final size of the bookmark. The size 2 will make it slightly smaller and tighter and the 4 slightly larger and more open. Depending on the thread (I'm assuming thread with such small needles) and pattern, it's up to you which you think will work better for your bookmark.

Thanks Joan!! I found the right size... Had to wait for my BF to get home to help me to be sure.. Sometimes I can make out the size of my needles by feel.. Since I am blind I haveto most of the time depend on someone to read the needle size.. Thanks agian.. And fogive me of my typing not sure if everything is coming out right..
