Hi Anne,Thanks for your note.......At this moment, I've only got a teeny, tiny area to type and work in aswe're under major construction with all the noise, dust and workmencoming and going constantly. Not a very creative atmosphere along withthe lack of space...however, this is quite trivial when thinking of theconditions Mirjam is laboring under to create in Haifa with dailyrocket barrages.As Mirjam posted, no matter how difficult, artists still have thepassion to create as much as possible.In my case...I've been working on and off on an old needlepoint projectfor a model...it's the haunted house canvas shown on my website.This is why needlepoint works so well...this canvas has been worked onand off for a couple of years now......doesn't matter if I worked on itfive months ago or last night, the canvas is ready to be stitched onanytime I want to work on it!I've got several canvases just about finished...they all only need afew more rows.......A few of my new projects........The good thing about having to move out of my studios is findingforgotten goodies...I found five yds of garment canvas bought ten yearsago...this is 18 mesh polyester needlepoint canvas that drapes likecloth...excellent for garments...I'd like to make a vest or jacket,maybe both...the possibilities are absolutely endless! And therein liesthe problem...how and what should I do??? I've not decided on colors ormaterials yet and only have a vague idea of design theme. But do know Iwant to line the inside with a contrasting color silk dupioni fabric.Some ideas is to embellish the garment with beads, threads,applique...using different techniques, such as embroidery, couching,etc...basically want to make an art to wear piece.Will probably start work on the garment canvas once I have room tolayout the canvas & patterns to cut out.The main reason for all the construction was the need for more workspace. I'll now have a huge needleart studio / office with lots of roomto store materials, books and work...

In my next life, I will be taller with long legs and curly hair. If I have to work, I'll be a plumber because they're always in demand and, in the right area, make good money. I'll also have lots of artistic talent that would enable me to paint, draw, and create original multimedia pieces.

I appreciate your encouragement but in this life, I've come to know myself very well and have tried many arts and crafts. If we all had your talents, you'd be out of work and museums and galleries might not want to hang your work.

So you do what you do and I'll do what I do and we'll both be happy.
