I second this. I have several coworkers that are envious of you, they are still out.

Welcome back, dear. Don't you get annoyed when people refer to it as a "vacation" when actually it is nothing of the kind?

I did not see a single person refer to it as a vacation - we all knew what happened and never suggested such a thing !

Just spoke w/ Cheryl a few minutes ago. She's doing the hockey rink shuffle, and evidently preparing to tackle mountains of laundry. The fridge is bare - though w/ sparkling clean shelves. She sounds good- her neighbor doesn't have power - but Cheryl does (something to do with the neighbor's line coming from the street behind).

Anyhow - I imagine she'll check in eventually. Was glad that she sounded good - got the info on their stay in 2 different hotels - the latter giving them a suite at a bargain when the clerk saw little Elise come dragging in with mom post-hockey!

Well, got to run myself.

Story later, but the only damage to the house was found at my bed time - one of the toilet seats split. New and nicer one was installed 15 minutes ago....

it was the sheer inanity of the messages, from both of them, that drove me crazy. I'm trying to get both DS and DD to places they're supposed to be (hockey rinks got their power back right away and there were flush toilets, so I didn't mind going), checking the house once or twice a day and working
