I seem to have been away for ages - not that I haven`t tried. Had the computer given a spring clean MONTHS ago, and did my usual restoration of email addresses easily enough but just couldn`t get the newsgroups to work. I`ve been so busy one way and another that I kept forgetting to phone the ISP. until it was too late in the day, but today checked out the website and lo and behold they had instructions for setting up email addresses and newsgroups.
The whole trouble was that they`ve changed the name of the account!!! Grrr! I hadn`t been doing anything wrong really - just didn`t know that they`d done that and obviously hadn`t told anyone.
Sorry to come back at such a sad time for everyone - my sympathy certainly goes out to everyone. It`s an awful time of year for such sad events - you associate that time with sadness for ever more, don`t you?
