ISO Kittens/Cats with cowboy hats

When my friend and I went to demonstrate stitching at the local county fair there was a rectangular project hanging there (XS) with several cats/kittens (I can't remember it exactly) all wearing different cowboy hats. Does this sound familiar to anyone? My friend fell in love with it and I would like to find it for her. She doesn't have internet service at the moment so I told her I'd ask around. Unfortunately, the tag on the stitched piece didn't have the name of the chart on it. I know which one is WASN'T. It WASN'T the picture of three cats with boots/holsters/hats looking like they're on their way to a gunfight. Thanks. Liz from Humbug

Is it The James Gang?

Don't know whether HoffmanDis.com would file this under cats or cowboys or both........

I *think* you are talking about a Dimensions kit. I know the picture you are describing and I am pretty sure it was a kit. Not so sure about it being Dimensions but that's what first comes to mind. I might actually have the kit but it will take me some time to dig through my stash and check that out. CiaoMeow >^;;^<

When I read Liz's message, my first thought was, "She should just ask Tia Mary. *She*'d know!!!" :)))

I stitched that one - it always makes me smile. It's a Sunset kit, called "The James Younger Gang". There's a companion piece featuring dogs called "The Magnificent Seven". I've not seen either one sold as a chart only. If you have trouble finding the kit you might try Rebeccascrafts.com. The website isn't that great, but they have a lot of stuff and you can email and ask for specific items. Connie is very helpful.

Good luck, Sandi

When I went to the link that Pat in Illinois posted, I was relieved to see a picture of the kit. A Dimensions kit too so I'm NOT losing my marbles -- LOL! Still, I'm not sure if I actually have the kit in my stash. It's cowboys and, after living all of my life in the SouthWest, cowboy and Native American designs -- even ones with kitties -- are NOT my cuppa :-0 LOLOL CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Hey Liz -

I remember that one. I found it at Wal-mart. Name: Cowboy Cats Company: Creative Accents by Dimensions © 2001 Kit#: 7939

A counted cross stitch kit with various cats wearing cowboy hats and neck scarves. The word "First National Bank" shown behind them.

Sounds like what you're looking for.

HTH,

Jan
