i am just enjoying my embroidery , this time of year i usually go through my closets of materials ] of all my crafts and art textiles] , to see that no `bad visitors` came to stay. and of course some embroidery [as well as knitting & crochet] `experiments`, float into the light [ or rather come out of bags etc,,, ] sometimes touching them again gives the Spark to use them into a new work.
Several years ago i made my dauther a Mural on which i appliqued , lots of details that belonged to her , i embroidered/appliqued cats, music related things , an old corner of a table cloth of my late mother, as well as the names of places where she lived as a child , also an old laced& embroidered handkerchief that belonged to mt late MIL . And i also cut off and appliqued' lots of her worn out /old T shirts which she got in Summer schools , courses etc' the logos of those events.
Looking at some of those , `experiments` i see i have almost enough to make another mural with details ... this time i just let my fingers lead me i embroider the parts as are whereever my hearts tells me to attach it ... i have no clue how it will be Finnished , but it takes on the feeling of 'Just Enjoying My embroidery " ...... maybe it will end up being it`s name ... i have no idea now ,,,,, but i enjoy it. mirjam
