Kansas Catastrophe

For anyone who has ever heard of or bought anything from Starla McClain (Starla's Stitch 'n Frame) and is waiting and wondering about your order, please be patient. Unfortunately they are temporarily out of business until the business of cleaning up and rebuilding the entire town is finished. She and Cinda Morehead are the ladies who do most all of my framing, so I'm going to have to be patient too and temporarily find another framer. Starla is safe, but we don't know about Cinda yet. They could both -- as well as the entire town -- use your thoughts and prayers.

Jennifer, thanks for posting this bit of bad news. Thoughts and prayers are definitely with them, and their town.

Awful, so hard to know where to start cleaning up. Glad to hear she is safe though and good thoughts going her way.

When the shop re-opens, let us know so we can all send her an order. With so many LNSs closing, we really need to support those who come back after a disaster would've made it so easy for them to close.

I'm so glad you said that -- I thought exactly the same thing. We're losing shops right and left due to places like Michaels and Hobby Lobby, and esp. online shops. I hate we've lost another, but I do think she'll rebuild. fyi ... I heard from Cinda this morning and she's ok and living with her Mom in another town. She said they have nothing left but each other ....

So sad. Please convey our good wishes and our hopes that she can rebuild her shop and her life.

I think Karen's idea is a good one so don't hesitate to ask us when the time is right.

I will, and thank you so much. I'll convey as much as possible to the both of them, although for right now there seems to be no phone service of any kind, and I don't have but one personal number ... which is going nowhere. As soon as I hear though, I'll let you guys know how they are.

Hugs to ALL! Jennifer

Thanks for posting those Joan ... ouch ...

Isn`t it amazing to see so many trees still upright, even though denuded of leaves. Terrifying scenes.
