latex finger covers for needlework question [need to find some]

I use some nice latex finger covers. Not full gloves. They just cover the fingers. They are ribbed and are great to protect while doing needlework, beading or picking up things that are small when you are working with various items such as charms.

Now the problem is, the local shops that carried them have closed. I just started a search of the internet sites that carry needlework but I was hoping someone might know an online source already. Several searches on google give me simply the gloves. I don't need them. I also don't remember the brand name so that handicaps me to a description search. If anyone simply knows a brand name that would be a great help. Then at least I can call some of the shops that are open [75 miles away] and ask if they carry them before I drive it.

I regret that my first post has to be a request however after 30 minutes searching online, tearing apart three storage bins and several small carriers here at the house hoping I had some tucked away, I decided to ask. But I did manage to find some interesting charts I forgot I owned.... sigh.

Thank you, Phil

Have you checked the ones they sell in the first-aid section of the drugstore to see if those would work?

. Then go to their online catalog. They have the fingercots (with a different name-"finger pliers") under notions, then quilting supplies. They also may have them in a different catagory. They were very reasonably priced when I bought an assortment for a Xmas gift for my mum. At the time, they even had an "assortment sample pack" in case you didn't know what size to get. Not affiliated in any way, just a satisfied customer. Good luck. MM

Stationers are even harder to find than finger cots these days, but if you can find one that hasn't gone broke yet, look near the little containers of jellied glycerin that have names like Sort Kwik.

website.http://www.fingergloves.com/> aeromom That's it. We have a winner. Thank you all so much. We have been busy here because my sister is ill with cancer and this is the first chance I have had to check back.

Thank you all very much for the ideas. I have something to fall back on if they stop making the finger gloves. I really like the ribbed area which makes it so much easier to do things. So that means they will stop shortly. It's been my luck. I really like something and they stop...

The fingergloves are very good to work with. Sometimes they pick up certain thread colors but just keep an eye out for that. They are odd little things. They look like finger condoms.... Apologies to any sensitive folks I offended there. ;) aeromom

Thank you very much. It was quite a shock. She had two pin points when they did her mammogram. By the time they removed it, she was 8 cm and then was 10 cm before they could do a second. I gather the doctors were shocked. It's made my first rule, if they find any cancer, get it removed quickly [don't wait 3 weeks for a vacation] and sign the full consent form before surgey.

I think she is handling it better than the rest of us. She use to stitch and I am buying her several kits to occupy her.

Great idea to buy her some kits! Nothing like stitching to take your mind off things you don't need to dwell on.
