Logo for Vancouver 2010 Olympics.

I am not sure how many people outside Canada are interested, but the logo for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics should turn into a very nice counted cross stitch pattern, I strongly suspect. If I have spelled it correctly, it is called Ilanaaq, which means "Friend" in Inuit.

I heard a man on the radio (CBC) saying it more nearly translated as 'buddy', a bit more than just a friend. Whatever, I guess they feel touched it was suggested and chosen.

I just looked it up and found a news article that translated it as "hope, friendship and an external expression of the hospitality of a nation that warmly welcomes the people of the world with open arms." It's very elegant and I think beautiful.

the two major TV news broadcasters. Search for Vancouver 2010 winter Olympics. Alternatively google on "illanaaq", there should not be too many hits. HTH.
