Questions about EGA National Seminar

De-lurking again!

I have never been to National Seminar, but want to go and have several questions for those lucky folks who have been before.

Do many people take their spouses? (This will be a major "vacation" so DH is considering coming with me. However, he has been talking to his sister about going with me instead.)

My SIL is not a member of EGA, so if she comes with me and wants to participate she will have to join EGA. Right?

If DH comes with me, can he go on the tours? come to the banquet?

Thanks for your help! BonnieBlue

I went to EGA's National Seminar last year and had a blast! Quite frankly though, I would NEVER take my spouse or any other male relation. LOL, it's a giant hen party - way too much estrogen for any man to stand.......he would probably run screaming from the place within 2 hours. You'd probably be ready to send him packing by then anyway. Send hubby off fishing with his buddies while you have a good time relaxing with fellow stitchers. A lot of time is spent taking classes so he would have to entertain himself anyway. Take your SIL with you. EGA dues aren't all that expensive and she'll have a great time too.

Unfortunately, Anne, what you say is all too true. I know I would enjoy myself, but there aren't that many other males around who would. :-< :-< :-<
