Unfortunately, the company which had the exclusive rights to distribute Susan's patterns has gone out of business and they are no longer being printed. If you can't get a used copy then you may be 'stuck' paying those prices to the few shops which still have some in stock.

Oh, I was afraid of that. I have, so far, found one used copy of one of the patterns I wanted and it's significantly cheaper than the $50 listed on a UK site. I'm trying to acquire that one.

Thank you for checking! I just found a used copy of the "Saints" series through Abebooks.com - Ebay had one for auction (signed!) but the auction went over my limit. I don't mind that this other one isn't signed. I'm more concerned about being able to afford my hobby (habit?) than having signed copies of everything.

Most of the web sites I've checked are charging more than I am willing to pay for just a pattern. Some only sell the kits (which I don't care for as I will usually not use the thread or fabric supplied). So I'll keep digging around.

I AM going to check my local library. My sister in Houston will be taking me to stores while I visit her. I'm going to look then.
