I can resist - but the Helen Stevens books are very nice - good deals, indeed.

I wanted the Anchor pulled thread book. I got most of the Helen Stevens books via Daedulus a while back

Sue You just so very very BADD!! I have just dropped a bunch on my credit card at that site. Of course, I don't need it...but maybe I call it an early Easter/Mothers Day/Birthday to me...maybe even July 4th!

I hadn't seen Helen Stevens books in the past. Thanks for posting.

Just reserved 5 online from the local library.

Our Guild just inherited about 30 books from a deceased member. As librarian I have been cataloging them so they can be borrowed. They include Helen Steven's Embroidered Birds. Her technique (which she calls opus plumeria - feather work) is wonderful.

I'm having lots of fun since the books include some Erica Wilson books, books on crewel, Brazilian embroidery, stumpwork, blackwork, Chinese embroidery, and a book on shashiko (in Japanese but with great diagrams).

And of course, the best part is that I get to read them first before I take them to the next Guild meeting :).
