North meets the South

Had a tremendous visit with TIA Mary and her DH from Jawjaw and did we ever jaw. No weapons of mass destruction were launched and no cannons fired. It was toooo short a visit and we didn't get to do everything that we wanted to do but maybe next time. The men talked about engines and the women folk traded male training techniques - I now suspect. LOL Me thinks my life is never going to be the same. Hmmmmm, Put trash in trash bag, Tie trash bag closed, Take trash bag to back of yard, Put trash bag in container. Seems simple enough.

Gotta still rest my head 'n' bod.

And the same goes for us, only in reverse! Fred was VERY patient with MOI and took me to all three LNS in town PLUS a very nice little shopping area where I managed to get all the touristy stuff one needs to buy when in a new place. We also went to the Conservatory and another great gift-y sort of plant shop that had some HUGE Koi! I got to meet Chilkoot and got lots of wonderfully slobbery doggie kisses, too :-). I have photos too and shall post them once I get them developed. We all went to dinner Wednesday night (well, except for the dog) and I totally forgot to drag the camera out of my purse so didn't manage to get any photos of Marjorie -- TOO BAD!! Hopefully this won't have been my one and only trip to the northern climes! I was truly in hog heaven. There was about 2 feet of snow on the ground and it was nicely cold & brisk but not so cold that I couldn't leave my down coat in the car and just walk to the LNS in my wool sweater & thermal undershirt. When we left the restaurant Wednesday night, it was snowing just a bit -- very pretty. Then about noon on Thursday it started to snow a bit harder and was again quite lovely. This lasted for about an hour and then cleared up so that we had no local weather problems for our flight out that afternoon. All in all, I had a great time. It was so nice to finally get to meet Fred. DH has been up there several times and had coffee and conversation with Fred several times! It was certainly about time that I got to meet MY friend :-)!
