We were with out power from late Saturday night until yesterday around
7:30 PM. Birds went to stay with friends with a wood stove Sunday morning. Even lost the cell signal at home by mid day.
Played a great practical joke on DD - the family agreement was if there was no power by 7:00 PM last night, while she had hockey practice, Dad and I would work on finding a hotel room because the house had just gotten too cold.
We got call from a neighbor that the power was on - actually convinced DH that I found out by calling the house (no power, no phone) when my neighbor had called.
So took one sweating girl home to dump her gear and grab the essentials.....
She was so annoyed at us....
