What goes on in DD's brain

Her school garb the last three days Tuesday - long, flowing flowered skirt, pink blouse Wednesday blue top, matching blue plaid with glitter skort.

Today, Thursday it is step up day, when meets her third grade teacher. What is she wearing - a Derek Jeter tee shirt, shorts and has doused herself with BS's "body spray/deodorant" (AKA Tag).

Why - "I want my new teacher to know who I really am!"

I did soap her down as best I could, but, shall we say the aroma clings!

I like the way she does things. Like her mom, she's an independent kid who isn't afraid to be a free thinker.

Even I would have drawn the line at after shave! The stuff DS goes for reminds me of the Brut and Old Spice on the same guy!

Wouldn't fix that aroma issue though! A friend that teaches at a local Catholic school tells me there are other interesting issues - her favorite is the girl that some how manages visible cleavage in a johnny collar shirt.

7 and will be 8 in September! DS gives me grays for his unique reasons, she's going to turn me completely white when she hits her teens.

I know - the good news is that DS some how managed a C- in English for the year. The b*tch grades in such a way that only 1-2 students a year (out of about 200) get an A or A-. And she is a known anti-male, anti athlete teacher. And there is a 1 in 4 chance DD will get her too.

I've tried coloring my hair - the dye seems to ignore those white and gray ones!

That depends on the texture of your hair. My very coarse, wavy gray hair didn't take the color either so for many years I was a blonde. That way it looked like frosting.

I finally gave up and let it grow out to silver when there was so much gray that the color didn't do a thing.
