Off-topic posts

Apr 26, 2004 12 Replies

Hi everyone. Just a friendly reminder here! Can we please remember to mark off topic posts as such. Just add OT in the subject line before your subject.

Also, when replying to an OT post, please remember that many newsreaders (like Outlook Express) will drop the OT tag so check to be sure that yours didn't. If it did, just add it back in. I've been guilty of this in the past but I try to remember. Thanks everyone!

Now, back to scrapping!

If you are replying to an OT post in OE, doesn't it normally show underneath the OT post anyway - so then you should already know it's OT.

Wasn't trying to be rude but now that I read it... Anyway, I just think that having OT in the inital post is enough because most replies underneath that will be related to the OT post. If anyone has something else to bring to a new light from an OT thread, then hopefully they will create a new post.

Ooops, forgot to put OT on my post about meeting Dave, sorry.

ahhh don't worry about it Kenda. Doesn't really matter to me.

I'll try and do better at it too.

Lynne

doesn't matter to me as long as the topic is clear.... I forget all the time... I guess i should be beaten... *runs and hides*

Don't apologize! ;)

It's just something I've noticed because it's been a little harder for me to read because I've noticed more and more. I'm certainly not pointing fingers. :)

Nah. Just a suggestion. Makes reading easier for everyone. I do agree about the clear topic though. In most of the groups I read so many of the subjects are so vague that I have no idea what it's about before I open it.

I didn't take you are rude. ;)

But, not necessarily (to what you wrote above). Once you mark them read they won't reappear as OT. I can't remember all the posts that people make. It was just a polite suggestion that has come up here before from time to time.

Oh - I see what you are saying. Thanks - I try to make sure I put OT in my initial but I know I never put it in a reply. I do agree about the subject being more clear.

Hey...Dave is scrapbook related LOL
