Update - On and off topic

I've been lurking, and not having much time to post. I just can't keep up with you chatty folks, what with my day-job and all the garden produce preservation that has to be done this time of year. 50 qts of beans, 24 of corn, plus misc. beets, carrots, etc. and a bunch of pickles. Still have the pears to do. :-) I've had to mark all read, just so I don't feel so guilty for not getting to all of you. Happy dances for all the finished things, prayers for everyone who needs them - God knows who you are!!

DGD's broken arm is healing OK, although because of the location, the cast will be on 12 weeks!!

Godmother's broken foot healed well, and she and DS/DBIL left for Italy on Wed. Thanks for all your prayers for both.

I've finished one quilt top, and am working on another. And the best news of all, I'm having a meetup with Mary D this weekend. It's only a 4-hr drive from my place to hers, and there are 2 new LQS to see!! Yay. I'll report back when I return on Sunday.

I posted this, but did not see it show up, so my apologies if it really gets posted twice.

Teri, where are you and Mary D meeting? I'm about 4 hours from you (I think) probably in the wrong direction. I wish I could get to the Tukwila show this weekend, but it's too far for me to drive. I'm really not good for much more than 20 minutes or so. And DH is in Spokane for a seminar t his weekend. Look extra good for me. And enjoy those pickles. There's nothing I love more than homemade pickles.

As I recall, you're on the eastern side of the state. I'm driving down to OR where MaryD lives. I'll see if I can think up some way to ship you a jar of pickles. That would qualify as a "thunkie" I think. Sorry you can't join me for the show. Maybe next time.

Shipped pickles would indeed count as a "thunkie", unless something happens in shipping and then they revert to "squishie" status. Come over sometime. My DH has offered to drive me and any friend/s who want to go to Ephrata to the Fabric Patch -- possibly the best LQS in the state.

We met tonight. I just happened to get called in to clean 3 rooms. After finishing the last, my boss told me my friend checked in. We visited for a few then they went to dinner and I came home. I'm sure we will do a lot of talking and sharing tomorrow.

Yes! Sounds great, TerriLee, and things seem to be going well for you. Please give Mary D. my regards, and tell us all about the new LQSs.

Ewwww!! I'm thinking major soft packing. What color fabric do you need? LOL

What a nice offer from your DH!! I lived in Moses Lake in the mid-eighties, I'd agree about Fabric Patch. If I get over that way, I'll sure let you know. I love meetups.

Ewww!! I think bubble wrap and styrofoam peanuts should do the trick, though. Dill or sweet?
