On- and off-topic

First the off-topic, as it's much more important. My MIL is once again in the hospital after a fall at her home on Wednesday. She has both a broken hip and a broken shoulder, as well as four broken ribs and some breathing difficulty. If you could spare some good thoughts for her, my family would be very grateful.

While waiting for more news on her condition, I've finished a little nap quilt for our DGD to take to preschool in the fall. That's the on-topic part, of course. If you'd like to see it, it's on my site at , as well as on my blog (URL below).

OUCH! That was quite a fall. She'll certainly be in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted.

In the meantime, Gabriella's quilt is charming and I bet she loves it.

The panel is just beautiful, Sandy. G. will love it. I'm so sorry about your MIL. That sounds like a truly bad fall, poor soul. . In message , Sandy writes

Sandy,

I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL's injuries. I hope they are able to keep her comfortable, and that she has a quick recovery.

As for your DGD's nap quilt--delightful! Lucky little girl! :-)

Sandy, we were hoping for an update on MIL and that she's doing better. How's it going? Polly

Thanks for asking, Polly. She's not doing very well; she's developed breathing problems and is on oxygen. We're pretty worried.

Oh dear. Sorry to hear this, Sandy. . In message , Sandy writes

I'm really sorry about that. I'm afraid it is so often the way with one severe 'episode' - the sudden deterioration. On the other hand they also often fight back. Keep us informed, if you can. All best thoughts for you all. . In message , Sandy writes
